I’ve just been involved in a PhD upgrade panel for a student working on Joseph Conrad, and one of his chapters was devoted to – wait for it – ‘Animals in Conrad’s Fiction’! He claims that there are over 140 different species of animal mentioned in Conrad’s texts, so – across a whole variety of fronts – this really does seem to be the topic of the moment and we should get Morris in on the act too.Tony Pinkneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10044449613701140938noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-805540988587071256.post-11697025317869386332014-06-17T05:06:21.259-07:002014-06-17T05:06:21.259-07:00Tony, the Morrisian who seems most interested in a...Tony, the Morrisian who seems most interested in animal rights as a current political issue is Dr Phillippa Bennett of Northampton University. Why don't you recruit her and a few others and guest-edit a future issue of the Morris Society Journal on the topic of 'Morris and Animals'?Koticknoreply@blogger.com
